Oh man, this was a fun courthouse wedding. I loved working with Devan, Chase, and their families! They were married at the Heman Marion Sweatt Travis County Court House (Precinct 5) in downtown Austin in March.

It’s July, and I’m just now sharing their photos, because I was too busy in the Spring to give these awesome photos and this awesome couple the attention they deserve. Better late than never 😎

There’s so much to love about their wedding, but these are the highlights:

• Chase wore a vintage orange suit from the 1970’s that Devan’s mom thrifted. His outfit choice was a surprise for their family members. They loved it!
• Devan’s outfit was all about the details – a stunning short dress, sunglasses, and a colorful dried flower bouquet.
• Everyone laughed a bunch during their ceremony. Their families clearly had a great time, and felt honored to be there.

After their ceremony at the courthouse, the three of us drove to Auditorium Shores (Vic Mathias Park). We took photos along the trail, in the big field, and on a parking garage rooftop overlooking the skyline.

They chose this park as a second location, because they wanted a city vibe, and they’ve gone running there many times. I love the Mile 0 photos we took on the Butler Trail. I’m always looking for a symbolic location or prop.

Devan & Chase went to college at A&M, and met while they were both Fish Camp Counselors. I can’t imagine more fun people to welcome you to college! I can totally picture them meeting this way and having a lot in common.
