When a guy can come up with a romanic way to totally surprise his girlfriend with a proposal, I’m always so impressed!
Dreston contacted me about a month ago to tell me about the weekend trip to Austin he and his girlfriend Kassie were planning. They live in Lumberton, Texas and neither of them had ever been to Austin, so they decided to come explore the city.
Together Dreston and I decided that Mount Bonnell would be the perfect spot for his proposal. With the beautiful views of the hill country and nearly private scenic overlooks, it was a great choice!
So here’s how it happened: Dreston told Kassie that he hired a photographer for a sunset portrait session. I met the couple at the bottom of Mount Bonnell, and we walked up together, talking about their trip and the penthouse suite they rented for the weekend (awesome, right?). Deston kept the secret so well! If I wasn’t already in on the plan, I would have had NO idea something big was about to happen. And neither did Kassie! When we got to the top of the mountain and began the pretend photography session, she was shocked to turn around and see Dreston on one knee behind her.
Congratulations, you two!
“Lauren was great with helping me plan our engagement. She helped me find the perfect spots in a location that I was unfamiliar with. Lauren got the pictures to us in a very quickly, and once we saw her work we were 100% positive that she would be the photographer for our wedding. Lauren has a great attitude and it’s very obvious that she loves what she does, we can’t thank her enough for being apart of what was an unforgettable moment for the two of us. Thanks again Lauren!”
