Last night some of my photography coworkers and I traveled about an hour away to a cool little spot outside of Dickens, Texas to take some photos of stars. It’s a really neat area that overlooks a huge canyon, and I sometimes stop there when traveling between Lubbock to Dallas. It was the perfect place to see A LOT of stars, and we had a great time photographing them until about 3:30 a.m.
For those interested, this is a 15 minute exposure at f/2.8, ISO 200, at 16mm.
Fun fact: I ate a Milky Way while taking these photos of the Milky Way. Seemed fitting.
We also played around with some sparklers.
