I’ve been looking forward to Rebecca & Thomas’ wedding day for so long! This was my second time to photograph Thomas and my FOURTH time to photograph Rebecca (engagements, UT senior photos, bridals and their wedding!), and every time I spent an afternoon with them, I got more and more excited about their wedding day! From start to finish, it was just as great as I knew it would be.

The Burkhardts were married at the beautiful and historic Rockwell Wedding Chapel, which made the day even more special. I’m a big fan of wedding venues that allow for the ceremony and the reception to be on the same grounds. Aside from the obvious schedule benefits and added simplicity, it allows so much time for photographing the details…which makes a detail loving photographer like myself very happy! While Rebecca was a super relaxed and go-with-the-flow bride, it’s clear that a lot thought went into every part of the day and the decorations. From her grandmother’s pearls wrapped around her purple bouquet, to including a collection for family cake toppers as reception decorations, to the stunning design of the back of her dress, it was a day full of pretty and meaningful details.

With rain appearing off and on throughout the day and night, and a downpour during the ceremony, Rebecca & Thomas didn’t let that stop them from enjoying their day, and it gave us a chance to use a cute umbrella!
