Sydney & Matt traveled from San Angelo to spend the weekend in Austin for their first marriage anniversary, and I was so happy to document their trip and help them celebrate this milestone with a photo session!

We started off the afternoon in the best possible way… with cake! Sydney had the wonderful idea of bringing the top of their wedding cake with them to Austin, and it was fun getting to watch them cut into it!

After filling on cake, we walked the colorful street of South Congress and ended the night on the Congress Ave. bridge with the setting sun and the glowing skyline lights behind us.

It was the perfect session!

They looked incredible at every location and with every backdrop, but getting to know them and their relationship so quickly, in just an afternoon, was my favorite part. They both have the ability to make you feel like you’ve known them for years.
