Sergio first reached out to me while he was planning his proposal to his girlfriend Juliana. After being in a long distance relationship for years, one weekend she thought he was in Mexico for a family member’s birthday party, but he was actually headed to Austin with a ring and a plan to surprise her after church.

She was totally shocked to see him, and even more surprised to see him down on one knee! It was perfect.

And last weekend, I met up with Sergio & Juliana once again to photograph their engagement photos! They loved the idea of taking portraits at sunrise, and I was completely on board!

The Congress Ave. bridge was beautiful in the morning, and we had a lot of fun walking South Congress with almost no one else around. We got all the perks of being downtown with none of the traffic, parking problems, or photo-bombers!
