If you know me at all, or if you’ve spent any time at all on my blog, you know that I love dogs and I love photographing proposals. So when Tyler told me about his plans for a weekend trip to Austin with his girlfriend Jennifer and their dog Griffin to celebrate Griffin’s birthday, I was ON BOARD.

Together we came up with the plan: They rented an AirBnb near Lake Travis and Pace Bend Park. Tyler told Jennifer that he had hired a dog photographer to take photos of Grifin on his birthday at the lake. So the three of them met up with me, the pretend dog photographer (actually, I might deserve that title at this point), and I started taking photos of Griffin doing his thing. A few minutes into the session, I recommended that they take a family picture together on the edge of a beautiful cliffside overlooking the lake. At this moment, with their little family in the perfect spot, Tyler dropped down to one knee and proposed!

She was totally caught off guard! Congratulations Tyler & Jennifer (and Griffin)!
