My favorite thing about photographing proposals? Getting to see the shocked reactions, of course!

Griffin contacted me a few weeks ago to tell me about his plans to propose to his girlfriend Casie. He recently moved to Austin from Nashville, and Casie would be in town to visit him for the weekend. He decided this would be the perfect time to ask the question!

Here’s how it went…

Griffin lives downtown, and he asked Casie to dress up for a nice dinner he had planned. He told her they should walk instead of drive to the restaurant so he could show her his new city. They walked along Lake Austin and crossed over the river to Auditorium Shores. When they got to the Skyline Theater, he walked with her up the hill to see the view. When they got to the top, he took a few pictures of her on his phone and played it off really well. Suddenly, he pulled out a ring and dropped down to one knee!

The look of surprise and happiness on her face was perfect. She said he had acted totally normal all day – not nervous or suspicious at all. Pretty impressive, I’d say!

It was such a cool experience getting to witness this amazing moment. Congratulations, you two!
