There’s a special proposal on the blog today! My brother-in-law Zach proposed to his girlfriend Alyssa, and I couldn’t be more happy for them!

They drove to Austin from Lubbock this weekend for a Garrison family Memorial Day trip to Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ. The resort is beautiful, and we spent the day at the pool, riding jet skis, and at the spa. We had time to relax before dinner at the Yacht Club (I know, so fancy 💁🏼‍♀️), so Zach suggested that him and Alyssa walk around the resort to check out the areas they hadn’t seen yet.

He brought her to the Water Gardens, pretending he hadn’t already been there an hour earlier to find the perfect spot to lead her to. As they crossed a bridge over a lily pad covered pond, he dropped to one knee and proposed!

I think she was genuinely surprised, and it was awesome to see her reaction and how happy they both were.

They couldn’t be more perfect for each other, and I’m excited to have such a sweet, beautiful, talented, and overall amazing sister-in-law! Welcome to the family, Alyssa!
