The Mathews wedding!
Nancy & Parker designed a day that was totally their own. Their wedding was classic, traditional, and elegant, while also breaking some of the “rules”.
They were married at the University Avenue Church of Christ, where Nancy’s grandparents were married many years ago.
The colorful stained glass windows where stunning on the walls of the chapel, and we made sure to include the windows in their portraits too. (Scroll down to see some photos of Nancy that are legitimately some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.)
Every part of this day was beautiful, from the silk bridesmaid dresses to the perfectly matched bouquets and florals.
They wanted their reception to feel like an old-school wedding in a home, with guests mingling and flowing from room to room. The Caswell House was perfect for this type of party!
Their reception was split into two parts. During the first half, guests were serenaded by a trio of musicians while they watched Nancy & Parker sway during their first dance. For the second half, they turned up the music, guests took off their shoes, and everyone hit the dance floor. The Mathews had some IMPRESSIVE moves, by the way. Nancy was twirling faster than I thought possible.
I bet they also set the record for the most number of A&M alumni at one wedding. Every one of the groomsmen were Aggies, and later, when the Aggie War Hymn was played, I realized that nearly ALL of the guests were Aggies too.
Nancy & Parker, thank you for asking me to be a part of your day! Congratulations!
