On the first night they met, he told her he would marry her in 5 years. But Chinmaya couldn’t wait that long.

2 1/2 years after they met in Austin at their mutual friends’ dance competition, Chinmaya got down on one knee to ask Shivani to be his wife. And wow…he pulled off an incredible proposal!

Shivani flew to Austin for the weekend with two of her grad school friends. She had no idea that Chinmaya had basically planned their entire trip, and that he would also fly to Austin to surprise her.

She woke up on Saturday morning to find a note telling her where to go for a hair and nail appointment. After the appointment, her next instructions led her to the boardwalk, where she found Chinmaya waiting with a rose. He took her to a beautiful spot on the boardwalk where he proposed and popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate!

Then, her friends and both of their families came walking down the boardwalk for another surprise!

This was such a fun afternoon, and I’ll seriously never forget Shivani’s reaction and the little dance she did while he pulled the ring out of this coat jacket 🥰 Congratulations you two!
