Nachel & Zach! I’ve known them since the start of their relationship over 11 years ago. Just like Matt and I, they met in Texas Tech’s marching band in 2010.
Nachel and I both played saxophone, and as my section leader, she was one of the first people I met on the first day of band camp.🎷 That year, Zach and Matt’s dorm rooms were near each other, and they’ve been friends ever since.
I think Nachel & Zach’s friends would say there’s no one else on Earth quite like either of them, and they fit perfectly together.
Denton has been their home for several years now, and they were married at Monroe Pearson, a cozy industrial style building near the downtown square.
Zach, Nachel, and the majority of their guests are musicians and music teachers. The venue was decorated accordingly, with a bari saxophone filled with flowers at the entryway, and tubas on either side of their ceremony setup.
Their theme was “Make our garden grow”, referencing Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, and the whole venue was covered in colorful wildflowers. AND GET THIS… Nachel & Zach, along with their wedding party and families, picked all of the flowers themselves! This is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard. A couple days before their wedding, they went to the field of a local florist, picked the flowers they wanted, and then worked together to create every arrangement and bouquet. 👏
The colorful flowers looked awesome alongside the moody black table cloths and black candles on gold vintage candlesticks. I’m a big fan of this look. 🖤
This was such a FUN wedding!
I love the combination of colors and textures in their dresses!
My husband Matt is the conductor here!
