The Lavender wedding! What a fun summer day! I hadn’t been to Lone Oak Barn since 2018, and I was really excited to go back. I love this venue for it’s well throughout layout, simplicity, and the beautiful trees surrounding the property.

Susan & James are the sweetest, most down-to-earth couple. When I think back on this day, the word “family” comes to mind. Their close friends and family members each played a big role in making this day so meaningful. Susan had several special moments with her dad. She also wore her maid-of-honor’s veil.

And of course, you don’t become Mr. & Mrs. Lavender without adding plenty of purple touches throughout the venue and the florals. 💜

This was a HOT summer day, but I don’t think you can tell in their photos. That’s the power of professional hair & makeup!

One of my favorite parts of the day was Susan & James’ emotional first look. Both of their reactions were so good! There’s no right or wrong way to act during your first look, but I love when couples are present and fully soak in that moment. Susan & James both were totally absorbed in each other, and their happiness is so obvious in those photos.
