In case you didn’t know, we’re expecting a baby boy in June! We usually go on a big vacation in June, but that’s not happening this year. 🙃 We decided to take advantage of Matt’s spring break off from work, and we travelled to Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs for a babymoon!
We love the Southwest, and Joshua Tree had been on our list for a while. We also love the mid century modern aesthetic. At this point, almost all of our furniture is from West Elm.
After watching the movie Palm Springs on Hulu, I was sold. 😂 A trip combining these two nearby locations was MADE for us.
This desert landscape is one of the most unique that we’ve seen. Some of these photos were taken quickly while on a hike. Some were taken while I had a few hours to wander alone while Matt did a more intense hike/run.
Many of these photos are available to purchase in The Print Shop!
We booked an amazing Airbnb near the park in Yucca Valley. It was recommend by my 2024 bride Faith, as she stayed there with some friends not long ago.
It looks gorgeous online, but in person, it was even more incredible. Every single room was packed with the most unique details, from plants in artisan pots, to wall hangings that perfectly matched the desert modern aesthetic, to the architecture of the home itself. We spent hours looking around and trying to notice everything.
I didn’t take a ton of photos in Palm Springs, but we had a great time!
