It’s no secret that bridal portraits are one of my favorite things to photograph. The details in the dresses and the meaning behind them to each bride makes wearing your wedding dress a special occasion every time you put it on.
And last month, I got to photograph similar but with even more sparkle and color – quinceañera portraits! When my college friend Chantal asked me if I would photograph her sister Brisa in her quinceañera gown, I couldn’t say Yes fast enough to the new experience.
And today, I finally get to share Brisa’s portraits that I’ve been keeping to myself. Like a wedding dress, a quinceañera dress is a surprise to friends and family until the main event.
It’s safe to say that Brisa picked a good one, and she looked stunning! The burgundy color looked amazing with the yellow and orange leaves at Brushy Creek.
Congratulations, Brisa!
At several points during the session, we caught a little girl who was at the park taking photos with her family sneaking glances toward Brisa and smiling. As we were grabbing the last few photos before the sun went down, the girl came over to say hi to a real life “Princess”. I think she was too nervous to get a word out, but it was pretty cute.
