As Stevie and I made our way to the spot where Joe waited, there were no nerves, but plenty of excitement and anticipation of this moment… the first time they would see each other on their wedding day.
She walked toward him down the quiet, tree covered path, and he spun around to see his bride.
“You’re shaking,” he said, as she gripped his tux jacket tightly in her fingers.
Looking back on Stevie & Joe’s wedding day, these were the minutes that stuck out to me the most. Alone on this secluded road, holding each other, they took time to soak in this moment that would only happen once.
Stevie told me that she would “cry uncontrollably” if they didn’t do a First Look before their ceremony. I think that’s because she knew that Joe would calm any feelings of pressure or nervousness. She knew that being with him would be the best part of the day, and every day, actually.
And aside from the their First Look and portraits (which I’m obsessed with), their entire wedding day was beautiful and full of fun times with their family and friends.
From their colorful succulent bouquets, to the custom illustrated invitation suite (designed by Joe’s sister!), to their eight wedding cakes, all the details were stunning. And yes, you read that correctly, they had EIGHT wedding cakes!
To top it all off, The Grove in Aubrey was the perfect setting for their relaxed outdoor Ceremony and beautiful indoor Reception just a few steps away.
Stevie & Joe, thank you for letting me be a part of this important day!
