Darby & Cody are married!!
Because of Covid-19, they had to scale down some aspects of their wedding, but luckily, they didn’t need to change too many of their plans. They were already planning to be married at Darby’s family ranch in Roosevelt where she grew up. Their land includes a gorgeous hill country cliff face and a river covered in lily pads. It’s 100% an ideal setting for a wedding.
Months ago, when Darby and I were first discussing how they wanted their day to feel, she said ” I want everyone to have a fun time, but I do not want it to be a huge, fancy production. We want to have a low key day.”
Well, they totally achieved this! Their wedding was a reflection of their relationship and what’s most important to them. It was comfortable and relaxed, with fun times spent together, outdoors, and with their families.
One of my favorite parts of the day was their officiant’s storytelling during the ceremony. He was impressed by their 5 year-long streak of talking to each other on Snapchat every day, and he had a hilarious list of things happening 5 years ago in pop culture. In 2015, the world was fighting about whether the dress was blue or white, and One Direction was still together. I wish I could remember the whole list, because it’s one of my favorite officiant anecdote’s ever!
Darby & Cody, I feel so honored to have been a part of your wedding day!
Talk about an AMAZING first look location!
Ahhh I’m obsessed with them.
More of their friends and family got to watch their ceremony online!
