When Kirsten & Matt first met, they connected right way over their love for the beach. It was the first thing Kirsten noticed about his Bumble profile. Well, that and his “sexy arms and blue eyes.” š¤£
So when they got engaged (see the photos!) and started planning their wedding, they quickly decided on Outer Banks, North Carolina as the location. OBX has always been Kirsten’s favorite place on earth. Crossing over the bridge to the island makes them both feel super relaxed and happy.
This feeling definitely translated to their wedding, because it was the most chill day ever! We were ahead of the timeline all day (AMAZING), because of the fun vibe they created, and because of their dream team of vendors. I had the best time meeting everyone at Vista Creek Event Venue and photographing the fun decor they created. My favorites were the colorful, yellow & orange florals (with pops of bluebonnets to show their love of Texasš), the cacti filled centerpieces, and the incredible driftwood ceremony arch.
Kirsten & Matt split their day between the venue’s lush marshland and the nearby beach. As we walked up to the ocean to start their bride & groom photos, we couldn’t help but pause to appreciate getting to spend part of their wedding day hanging out on the beach in OBX, such a meaningful place to their relationship. And their dog Satchel being there with them made it even more special.š (Scroll down to see Satchel highlighted throughout their wedding.)
Ahhh such a fun day. Congratulations, Kirsten & Matt!!
