Ashley & Matt have NO IDEA when they met each other. They grew up as family friends and neighbors in Minnesota, and they’ve known each other for many years.

When they were 15-16 years old, Ashley’s mom gave her Matt’s phone number (which she now thinks is hilarious), hoping he would help her with her upcoming drivers test. Well, spoiler alert… she passed her test, and they didn’t stop talking after that!

They fell in love with Texas after both moving here for college, and this summer, they’re moving from Dallas to Austin. 🥳

We took their engagement photos at the stunning Laguna Gloria, and I’m obsessed with every photo! These two are just effortlessly cool, as you can see by both of their outfit choices. I really can’t decide if I like their formal clothes or their sneakers/pickup basketball look better. And yes, we did play some basketball, which is only fitting because Ashley admits that she knew she REALLY liked him when he dunked over her in high school. 😜

I asked Ashley what type of music they like, and she replied with a LONG list of favs. The playlist was the perfect backdrop for their session, and it’s also been the backdrop of my life ever since then.
