Amanda & Kevin stood on an overlook at Rocky Mountain National Park, gazing out at sunny layers of mountains.🏔  They were ready for a day of hiking in the park Amanda had visited countless times as a native Coloradoan. It was Kevin’s first time there, so Amanda expected that she’d spend the day showing him around.

They’re in the process of building a home, so a day trip to the mountains was a nice break from that stress. The last thing on Amanda’s mind in this moment was getting engaged, but that’s exactly what happened! 💍

But let’s back up…

I first met Kevin & Amanda in 2020 when they modeled for my styled adventure couples’ session at Garden of the Gods (see the photos here!) At that point, they had been dating for several years. We loved working together, so when it was time for Kevin to propose, he asked if I could come to Colorado again. I couldn’t say yes fast enough, and a month later, I was on a plane to Denver. ✈️

He wanted to propose somewhere with a classic Colorado vibe, surrounded by mountains and nature. We chose this spot in the Rocky Mountains, and it was the perfect place for a private proposal within a busy park.

Amanda was totally stunned and speechless as she slid the ring on her finger. Later, when she turned around and saw me behind the camera, she was speechless again. 😂

Kevin, you pulled off such an awesome surprise!! Congratulations! 🥳
