#MarryMeMonday Jeremy’s proposal to Jakki was one of my favorites EVER. It’s hard to choose favorites (because they’re all awesome, and I’ve photographed over 170 at this point), but his creativity and thoughtfulness went above and beyond. He created a one-of-a-kind experience for Jakki.
For their 2 year anniversary, they planned a weekend getaway to an Airbnb along the Colorado River. Jeremy chose a house that included its own dock, with views of rolling hills down the river.
His vision was to create a “memory lane” down the sidewalk to the dock. Jeremy and I got started brainstorming ways to bring his idea to life, and we decided that him making every piece by hand was the most personal way to propose.
He used poster board to tell the story of their relationship, writing notes and attaching his favorite photos. Each board would have a theme, and as they walked along the memory lane, they would pause at each board for Jeremy to recap the moments that led them to where they are today.
“Falling in love”, “Meeting our families”, “Our fun trips together”, and “My favorite things about you”
When they arrived at the house and walked on the back patio, Jakki could hardly believe was she was seeing. As they slowly made their way to the last stop, she wasn’t 100% sure this was a proposal until he dropped to his knee on the dock. 💍
Congratulations!!
