Jacquelyn & Marwan are married!! I’d been looking forward to this day since meeting them at their engagement last year. I photographed Marwan’s proposal while they were in Austin for Jacquelyn’s birthday weekend trip.
When they asked me to come to their home state of Colorado to photograph their wedding, I was pumped!

They were married at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, Colorado near Denver. Layers of mountains in the distance create such a peaceful environment, and the venue itself is really unique. It’s a horse ranch turned wedding venue. You can even see the old stables inside the building!
It had been raining for a few days prior to their wedding, and northern forest fires created a hazy look in the sky. Jacquelyn & Marwan liked the cloudy weather and moody vibe anyway, so it worked out.
It rained hard around mid-day and sprinkled during their first look, so we decided to move their ceremony inside to Lola’s Loft, a rustic and cozy room found at the top of a spiral staircase. The unique wooden beams and chandeliers were really fun to photograph!
After the ceremony, the skies cleared, and we were able to move outside for cocktail hour and the remaining photos. Shoutout to the coordinator Michelle and the floral team for pivoting quickly and acting as weathermen with me. 🙃
We also needed cocktail hour to happen outside, because the guest of honor was Banjo the Beverage Burro!
The reception was a blast! It’s always a great party when most of the guests have travelled far to be there.
Congratulations, Jacquelyn & Marwan!!
