We all knew Whitney & Andrew’s wedding was going to be incredible. After over a year of anticipating the big day, they proved us right.
I love working with couples who have a clear vision for their wedding and know their style, even if it’s not traditional or has never been done before. That describes this bride & groom exactly.
It’s no secret that Whitney’s the biggest Disney fan there is. She even started her own bakery called Whitney’s Magical Treats (you have to try her sugar cookies btw!)
She pulled off their Disney-inspired wedding perfectly! The blue and yellow Beauty & The Beast color scheme, the horse-drawn carriage, the word “ANDREW” written on the bottom of her shoe like Woody from Toy Story… there were Disney references everywhere you looked.
But she didn’t do it all on her own. Planning their wedding was a family affair.
Whitney’s dad, brother, and grandfather decided to renovate the barns on their family ranch and turn the property into the most magical wedding venue for Whitney & Andrew. They did an amazing job, and the hill country ranch was stunning.
Every detail of this wedding was stunning, but what impressed me the most wasn’t the decorations, but the way Whitney & Andrew’s friends and family talked about them.
The collection of best man and maid of honor speeches (and one seriously impressive rap) were one of the highlights of the night.
One of the best men, in particular, had the most well-written toast I’ve ever heard. It was a story, actually, that brought us all into his memories of visiting Andrew’s childhood home. With vivid detail and observation, he walked us through the front door, past the family dogs, and into the life of two best friends.
By the end, Andrew was crying, and every single guest was in awe of his storytelling ability and impressed with his dedication to preparing such a unique and personal toast for the groom.
Throughout the night, the theme was Disney, yes, but the true theme was how perfect Whitney and Andrew are for each other. It was a celebration of love and a celebration of two people finding each other when they least expected to.
Whitney & Andrew – thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day! From your engagement photos, bridal portraits, party, and your wedding… it was all a blast.
