What a day! Jenny & Blake’s wedding day at the Lone Oak Barn was filled with laughter and dancing with their huge wedding party, many glasses of champagne, stunning decor hand-made by the bride, and a little (a lot) of luck with the weather.
It rained and rained all morning but stopped in time for Jenny & Blake to have the outdoor ceremony they imagined. The temperate outside was perfect and the sun even came out during portraits after the ceremony! The bright sunset was refreshing after so many gloomy days lately and made their bride & groom portraits together even more fun.
And it was already fun! They got to swing from an awesome rope swing hanging from an old tree at the venue. If you ask me, that’s the BEST possible way to spend time together after your ceremony!
There were so many moments of the day that really stood out to me, from Jenny’s emotional “first look” with her brother who she hadn’t seen in quiet a while, to Jenny’s grandmother giving her a necklace made from her own wedding ring diamond, to an Uber driving through the sparklers to pick them up from the Reception! How 2018 is that?? I love it.
The Macha wedding had so many incredible getting-lost-in-the-moment-because-we’re-having-so-much-fun times at the Reception too. I had the song Strawberry Wine stuck in my head the entire time I was preparing this blog, because watching everyone passionately sing along to that song was one of the highlights of the night.
Jenny & Blake, thank you so much for asking me to document your day and congratulations!
These invitations were designed and hand-cut by the Jenny herself!
