Are you ready to hear one of the most movie-worthy love stories ever?

Several years ago, Lindsey and her sister were on vacation on the Greek island of Santorini. One night near the end of the trip, they went to dinner at a nice restaurant. When the waiter came to take their order, they all talked for a while, and they kept talking throughout the night. He invited them to go for a drink when he got off work. Lindsey said this isn’t something she would normally say yes to, but she had a good feeling about Aris.

For the next two nights, Aris took Lindsey on dates and showed her around the island. This was a real life Lizzie McGuire situation!

After Lindsey flew back home, her and Aris started dating long distance.

In late 2019, Lindsey and her sister went back to Santorini to visit Aris for her birthday. Lindsey said “That night, he brought me Santorini wine and an ice cream sundae with candles. We sat outside on the porch of the hotel and talked about the future and became engaged.” ❤️

Then, Covid happened, and they were engaged long distance for almost 2 years. I can’t imagine how happy they were when his visa was finally approved and he was able to come to the U.S. and get married!

Their lakeside wedding at Horseshoe Bay Resort was completely outdoors, and it had been storming off-and-on for days. We all hoped for nice weather, but it poured rain the night before, and that morning was looking extra gloomy. As I drove to the resort, the clouds worried me, but by the time I finished my drive, the sky was completely blue!

Their small ceremony was beautiful. They wanted to get married near water, in a setting similar to where they first met. Aris’ family watched a video of the ceremony, and his cousin flew in from New York to be there.
