I photographed another proposal at William Chris Vineyards, one of my favorite hill country wineries, and I’m excited to share some photos!

Dominic and Taysia were in Fredericksburg on a Valentine’s Day weekend vacation. They had never been to this part of Texas, and Dom thought it would be special to propose during the trip. He researched several vineyards and scenic spots, and he chose William Chris Vineyards in Hye.🍷

This property is beautiful, even in the winter when the vines don’t have leaves. I arrived early to find a good spot. This was my criteria:

• Nice lighting despite it being sunny in the middle of the afternoon
• Separated from other people on a crowded Saturday
• Emphasize the natural beauty and hills
• Include the rows of the vineyard, but not so close that the vines look bare

I found shady a spot under large oak trees, with the vineyard in the distant background. ✔️

Everything went perfectly, including the weather. In the middle of crazy February weather, this was a literally perfect day.

Dom & Taysia met while they were athletes on the same track & field team in college. Eight years later, they can’t wait to be married! 💍
