San Angelo Wedding + Vow Renewal at Christoval Vineyards | Lauren & Matt

Lauren & Matt are married… AGAIN! They rode a rollercoaster last year, planning and rescheduling their wedding more than once. After Matt was stuck in Washington during a military travel ban, they had a small ceremony there.

This year, it was time to party! 🥳

The day started at Lauren’s hometown church in downtown San Angelo. First United Methodist Church is very old and historic, and it feels like a castle. Think stained glass, rod iron everything, and antique chairs and lighting in every room.

The ceremony was part wedding, part vow renewal, and totally personalized for them. Afterward, we headed to Christoval Vineyards, a truly gorgeous winery and venue right in between west Texas and the hill country.

I love totally outdoor receptions in the Fall. The weather was perfect, and I’m obsessed with the sunny husband & wife photos we took in the vineyards. 🤩

I don’t quite know how to put this into words, but the feel of their reception was just… right. As I walked around watching groups of people laughing, kids climbing trees, people toasting their drinks, live musicians, and the bright sun setting behind the vineyard, I couldn’t help but think that this is what wedding receptions are supposed to be like. You could find a gathering like this at any time in history. The whole point of a reception is to gather people together who are genuinely happy to be there. The environment was simply fun, and I’m so happy Lauren & Matt got to have this celebration.

And speaking of fun… I THOUGHT I had seen good wedding marches before, but WOW. Lauren & Matt’s wedding march was on another level. Instead of casually strolling around the venue in a line, guests were running at full speed, screaming, flinging each other around, and giving 100% effort. It was wild. Props to the family members who led this. 👏

This day was the best possible celebration of Lauren & Matt’s marriage. Congratulations on one year!!
